FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                   APRIL 4, 2019

KENANSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – The Red Cross and Game of Thrones partnership continues. To celebrate the upcoming debut of the final season of Game of Thrones, HBO and the Red Cross continue to partner together and ask fans and donors to bleed “for the throne” this April.

Those who present to give blood or platelets at James Sprunt Community College on Tuesday, April 23 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm will be entered into a drawing to win a full size Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. (Terms and conditions apply, and those are available at RedCrossBlood.org/HBOGameofThrones (rcblood.org/2YzVN9R).

Plus, those who give at the blood drive will receive a commemorative Bleed For The Throne poster (rcblood.org/2FN0Afj), while supplies last.

Accidents and tragedies happen everyday – but so can miracles. When you give blood, you are giving the gift of life, and you may actually help to save up to three lives with one pint. Blood cannot be manufactured and there is no substitute available.

The process from start to finish takes about 1 hour, while the actual donation only takes about 10 minutes.Walk-ins welcome, however donors can also visit redcrossblood.org and enter “James Sprunt CC” to schedule an appointment in advance or click here: https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/drive-results?zipSponsor=James%20Sprunt%20CC

As always, prior to giving blood it is recommended that donors drink plenty of fluids and eat a meal prior to their arrival. Donors are eligible to give blood once every 56 days.

The blood drive will be held in the conference room located in the Boyette Building on the main campus in Kenansville.
